Vista crcdisk.sys

Obviously I'm not the first person who's had this happen, and it ALWAYS happens when they update it from Microsoft SP1 , so I know it's not some hardware or something that's just "old" or maybe "not quite right". I've read posts from back in , so I know someone somewhere has a solution. Even though I really can't lose some of the files for my company on my computer, at this point So please if anyone out there has a REAL solution And please don't ask me to boot it from my CD to repair it, because Even in the F8 screen, I believe there's a repair option there, or an option to load from the last successful load point.

NONE of those work. So, now that I have successfully ruled out ANY hope of fixing this, I'll sit back and wait for some magical genius to offer me a realistic solution and I don't mean my solution of throwing it through the window. I've waited up to an hour. Olemus Posted December 18, Try drivercleanerpro. A Posted December 18, NateB1 Posted December 18, Problem just started out of nowhere. I didn't install any OS updates, drives, or software. Yes, I do need the device, because without it I can't use wireless. Posted December 19, I guess I will purchase a new internal wireless card. Thanks for all your suggestions. Impact Posted December 19, That's really odd.

Something must have failed within the wireless card physically. Posted January 4, Any other suggestions? Aaron Veteran Posted January 4, Posted April 9, Beastage Posted April 17, Posted April 17, Mbrown Posted June 12, I installed Windows Vista SP2 from scratch another disk.

Re-tried the system restore from Toshiba. No good. At this point I figured I was just going to install Vista from scratch. So I reinstalled Vista and downloaded the Toshiba drivers from their website. One by one I started installing the drivers. Until I got to the driver for a flash media card reader front of laptop.

It froze up during the install. So I rolled that change back using Windows System Restore and then continued with all of the other drivers. Since you donot have the OS disc do send me the system service tag via private message. I will check and see what can be done. Run the Dell F12 pre-boot diagnostics and any extended tests.

Run any extended tests. This will tell you the condition of the hard drive. Next follow page and download a copy of the setup files from Digital River using another computer and make a bootable USB. If you fix the Vista boot problem and the performance of your machine is bad then follow A Clean Install of Windows Vista on page ; carry out Step 1c to backup your product activation.

Note if you are carrying out clean installation you may consider upgrading to Windows 7 or 8.
