Virus that stops the keyboard from working




















I tried to do some research on my own, but didnt find much.. Holding different combos of the keys that arent working yields different results, but results nonetheless, and since theres some sort of return when i hit the keys, i assume they still work but something on the computer happened. The other person who had this issue that I found gave me the idea of holding down the keys and hitting x, since he did it and had the same results.

Is there a known virus that I may have? Anyone have any idea whats going on here? So have you verified that you have no virus or other malware infections? Nothing was detected by malwarebytes, but i had quite a few trojans found by AVG which were taken care of i admit im not very good when it comes to scanning for trojans regulary.. Try uninstalling the keyboard driver, don't reinstall it yet, restart the computer and it should reinstall it on its own. If the driver was the issue, this should fix it. I restarted my system yesterday and it said that windows was updated. Since then my keyboard stopped working. I tried to restart my computer but that didn't fix the problem.

The keyboard works fine in BIOS though. I also restored it to a system restore point but that didn't work either. I opened Device Manager and their it showed the keyboard's description as "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information in the registry is incomplete or damaged.
