You should upgrade or use an alternative browser. Dual play glasses! Thread starter Crunx Start date May 8, Crunx Standard Member. In preparation I have been trying to find out some more information about the dual play glasses. Are all games compatible with this feature. I currently game using my Xbox and this feature would be extremely helpful. Also where can I purchase the dual play glasses from? I understand that you can make your own using the cinema 3d glasses but I would much rather just purchase a pair.
Thanks in advance! Any game that allows 2 players to play on a split screen is compatible. Instead of having it in split screen the Tv assigns one portion of the game to the left eye and the other portion of the game to the right eye. Dual play glasses have either 2 left or 2 right lenses in them, whereas the standard polarised glasses have 1 left and 1 right lens. You could make your own, by swapping a left lens in one pair with a right lens in another pair to make 2 pairs of glasses.
I've yet to see them on sale anywhere yet. Thanks for the information. Just seems a bit daft that LG haven't released these dual play glasses yet. I have tried to make my own pair but it was nearly impossible to remove the lenses from the glasses that I had. I guess I will just have to wait until they release some official dual play glasses.
Well taking my own advice from my post the other night I made up 2 pairs of dual play glasses last night. I used the Real 3D ones you get from the cinema.
Using a thin edge I gently unclipped the retaining inner frames of one pair enough for me to pull out a left lens from one pair and a right lens from a 2nd pair. The lenses are not directly interchangeable as they have a locating lug which points towards the nose piece of the glasses. Cutting this piece off I offered them up to the frames and tried to secure the inner frame back into the outer frame, but due to the differing shape in the left and right lenses it needed a bit of trimming.
Easily done once removed as it was easy to see where both frames had pinched the lens. This done both lenses were in place and the fired up. Now I don't know what I was expecting here, they make a big song and dance about dual play but I thought I was missing a trick.
I also remember some LG blurb in response to people doing this last year to prove any passive 3D tv being able to do dual play with the correct glasses, that LG had tweaked the algorithms so that the images fit the screen better and reduced ghosting. I even dug out the original remote to see if there was a Dual Play button, there wasn't.
So no magic algorithm or tweakage. Anyhow, yes we could play MW3 in full screen using the home made glasses, but there was some severe ghosting visible of the other persons screen. Meaning you could, if you knew your maps, work out where your opponent was by moving your viewpoint to a dark wall and watching his movements in the ghosting.
The only thing I can think of that might improve this is if, the lenses need to be at a specific skew to the polarisation to the screen and my heath robinson glasses weren't up to the job? Would I use it? Yes, it was fun using a full screen and not only half of it. Crossplay refers to a video game allowing players from different platforms to play together simultaneously. Crossplay has been a major push from Microsoft since the last half of the eighth console generation.
There is a solid selection of titles that support Xbox One and PC crossplay, but it can be difficult to choose which one to play. For those that have friends on other platforms or wish to play with a wider range of people, here are 10 fantastic crossplay titles that work between the Xbox One and PC. This list is in no particular order. Smite is unlike most MOBAs in that players control their characters from a third-person perspective instead of an isometric view. Players select their character from a large pantheon of gods that vary from multiple mythologies.
Zeus, Ra, and Fenrir are just a few examples of the sheer variety of gods to choose from. With 3v3 Jousts and traditional three-lane 5v5 matches, Smite is one of the best MOBAs on the market and one of the few that supports crossplay. Most would consider survival crafting titles to be dead with the popularity of Minecraft and the thousands of copies that exist today, but ARK: Survival Evolved is no ordinary title. Ancient technology and hundreds of dinosaur types roam ARK's various maps for players to utilize.
It has the standard rhythm of building shelter and unlocking higher-tier equipment, but ARK's greatest strength is its gameplay sandbox. Every dinosaur feels much different from the last both visually and functionally, and the game's plethora of items allows for a compelling PvE experience or one of the best PvP experiences this genre has seen.
With crossplay available between the Xbox One and PC, this is the perfect game to play with a large group of friends or clan members. War Thunder is a free-to-play vehicle combat title that allows players to control a wide selection of airplanes, tanks, and even naval boats. The core combat is incredibly satisfying that few games in the genre can compare to. It is one of the grindiest free-to-play titles available on the Xbox One and PC, but the gameplay loop is so satisfying that it more than makes up for it.
Players choose between one of four classes as they drill in procedurally-generated caves that are fully destructible. Hundreds of insectoid aliens crawl from the walls to take down the player, leading to intense gunfights that are reminiscent of Aliens.
